Achieving Business Process Agility in Engineering Change Management with Agent Technology

– The importance of business processes for a successful enterprise cannot be overestimated. They are core assets through which a business turns its potential into actual competitiveness on the market. To face the challenges posed by today’s changing and uncertain business environment, traditional BPM approaches are not sufficient anymore. This paper presents an approach to business process management, which leverages Agent Technology features to obtain agile business process behavior. Beyond the problem and solution description, this work presents a concrete case study in the domain of Engineering Change Management.
