:  Simple Mode: Addressing Knowledge Engineering Complexity in a Privacy Expert System Siani Pearson HP Laboratories HPL-2010-75 privacy, decision support, usability, knowledge engineering This paper shows how a combination of usability and heuristics can be used to reduce complexity for privacy experts who create and maintain the knowledge base of a decision support system. This system helps people take privacy into account during decision making without being overwhelmed by the complexity of different national and sector-specific legislation.
