Applying an Enhanced Path Finding Avatar for a Virtual Environment
—There are several types of landform and objects in the virtual environmentsuchasobstacles,moveobjectsanditems…etc.Apathfindingavatar shouldevaluatethewholeenvironmentproperly,anddesignthepoliciesorplansto findthepathtothespecificgoal.Withthegoalof“movingtospecificlocation”,this paperfocusesonbuildingthebehaviormodelofapathfindingavatarinavirtual environment.ThispaperproposesahybridmethodwhichcombinedthePotential FieldMethods(PFM)andVirtualForceFieldMethods(VFF)forapathplanning avatar to evaluate the virtual environment. From the experimental results, the behavioravatarwiththeproposedmethodcanmovetothespecificgoalbetterthan pureusingthemechanismofPFMorVFF.Inthefuture,thebehaviormodelsof originaluserscouldbekeptinthebehaviordata-baseforanalyzingortrainingby thisproposedmethod.Inthisway,thisproposedmethodcouldapplytheBayesian Networkmechanismformoreadvancedpersonalization.
