Architecture description in related standards

Abstract. With this paper we intend to present a brief overview of the current means to describe architecture in different standards. We cover AADL as an example of Architecture Description Languages, the new constructs provided by UML2.0 and the propositions from the SysML language. Attention is set on the component models, composition mechanisms and capabilities to perform model analysis and verification. Keywords. Architecture description, emerging standards
