- With computational tools becoming more integrated into the education experience, the accessibility of college website homepages is becoming increasingly important for several reasons. Additionally, it has become more important to teach students why and how to create accessible software, including accessible websites. This article presents a first study of the accessibility of approximately 98% of U.S. College homepages. The methodology for assessing the websites and the measurement of accessibility is presented, including experimental results and data on over 3000 sites. Finally, these results are analyzed, some conclusions drawn and some future work is outlined.
