CoDeL: Automatically Synthesizing Network Interface Controllers
Abstract. In this work we present CoDeL (Controller Description Language), a framework for rapidly prototyping policy specific controllers for routers in interconnection networks. Routing controllers are specified in a high level description and then synthesized automatically. CoDeL is a general purpose hardware description language for designing sequential machines at the algorithmic level. It is similar to C, and includes a rich library of I/O protocols that simplifies system integration.
