In previous work, we developed a framework for expressing general preference information in default logic and logic programming. Here we show that the approach of Brewka and Eiter can be captured within this framework. Hence, the present results demonstrate that our framework is general enough to capture other independently-developed methodologies. As well, since the extended logic program framework has been implemented, we provide an implementation of the Brewka and Eiter approach via an encoding of their approach.
