As wireless network infrastructure becomes more reliable, an increasing number of traditional desktop applications, beyond common web browsing, migrate to portable devices. Since ubiquitous access has become a critical success factor for most enterprises, business mobile information systems become a necessity. This paper deals with the case of mobile access to multidimensional data. We introduce the m-Dwarf, a compressed data cube physical structure, which has no loss of semantic information and is explicitly designed for mobile applications. m-Dwarfs are integrated in a mobile OLAP dissemination system. Experimental evaluation reveals a substantial reduction of access time, energy consumption and bandwidth utilization.
