Intelligent Reputation Assessment for Participants of Web-Based Customer-to-Customer Auctions
Abstract. The Internet witnesses the unprecedent boom of customerto-customer e-commerce. Most online auction providers use simple participation counts for reputation rating, thus enabling dishonest participants to cheat. In this paper we propose a novel definition of reputation and credibility of C2C e-commerce participants and we present an algorithm for reputation rating estimation. We conduct several experiments on real-world data which prove the feasibility of our algorithm.
