The method of choice of the software reliability models based on the analysis of assumptions and compatibility both input and output parameters is offered. This method is illustrated on the software reliability growth models (SRGM). The classification SRGM is carried out and its accordance to the known classifications is ascertained. The approach to build of the SRGM database is designed and its analysis is fulfilled. For choice SRGM it is offered to use assumptions matrixes taking into account the features of software engineering and testing processes . The SRGM choice and complexing procedures are designed. The examples of implementation and testing of these procedures are performed. The features of SRGM choice for predeveloped software are described.
