Middleware has greatly promoted the 3-tie mode of application systems. But as application software requirements become more complex and more frequently changing, the development cycle of middleware is demanded shorter and shorter. Within a middleware, once a component is amended, the middleware must be compiled and integrated into an application in a reliable, controlled manner. However, can the middleware directly be integrated and operated into an application without being recompiled after it is amended? To address this issue, this paper proposes a middleware-based script language (Mscript) that can be used directly to update the middleware in order to adapt the new business requirements. An application example of the M-script is presented, and the result demonstrates that it simplifies the middleware redevelopment process, as well as enables rapid implementation of new business requirements.
