Noun phrase chunking with APL2

The identification of pktases in a sentence can be useful as a pre-processing step before attempting the full paxsing. There is a]xeady much 1/teratuxe about fmding simple non-recursive non-overlapping Noun Phrases. We have modified the learning paxadigm CLOG [4] to produce transfomaation lists, and we arrived to several interesting condusinns about Noun Phase chunking. IBM APL2 was used to build a prototype that was later rewritten in C++ for performance purposes.
