- Inherent limitations of mobile computing environment such as limited bandwidth, limited resourced mobile phones, and instability of wireless environment require summarized mobile database at mobile phones. Therefore the critical database summarization is done through an adoptive model incorporating object accessibility pattern in database queries by making optimal use of exponentially weighted moving averages. The database will keep only most frequently access objects at mobile phone to improve performance and provide high data availability for disconnected operations. Mathematical model and summarization scheme is proposed, along with simulation study, which identifies most frequently accessed objects to ensure high data availability for small memory mobile phones.
