The Personal Reader: A Framework for Enabling Personalization Services on the Semantic Web
The Personal Reader1 provides a framework for designing, implementing and maintaining web content readers, which provide personalized enrichment of web content for each individual user. The idea of the the Personal Reader is based on a rigorous approach for applying Semantic Web technologies: A modular framework of components / services - for visualizing the Personal Reader and providing the user interface, for mediating between user requests and available personalization services, and for providing personalized recommendations and access to web content forms the basis for the Personal Reader. In this paper, we describe the architectural outline of the framework as well as some implementation details, and discuss the approach with a reference a "Personal Reader for Learning Resources".
