Rewriting Agent Societies Strategically

In a normative multi-agent system the behaviour of the constituting agents is regulated by means of social and organisational inspired concepts like norms and sanctions. This paper proposes strategies to “instrument” such normative rules. This has the advantage of a clear separation between the executions of agents at an object-level and the control of the executions at a meta-level.
