—In previous works, we have presented the advantages of using a domain ontology and annotations on information retrieval as well as the translation problems between languages with different expression semantic levels. In this paper, we extend our previous work, presenting a return on experience and focusing on the viewpoint of the end-user. In fact, we explore the impact and helpfulness of a domain ontology, semantic annotations relying on this ontology and semantic resource descriptions so as to enrich end-user responses extracted from an information retrieval system. A system embodying this approach is presented.
