Abstract. In ubiquitous environments, a user is free to move one space to another. Thus, VOD applications should be able to provide seamless video delivery to a mobile user. In this paper, we propose a session mobility scheme to support user mobility in ubiquitous VOD applications. The session mobility scheme includes the selection method of a primary client and session handoff methods between the primary clients. For evaluation, we implement and test a prototype of the ubiquitous VOD application. As the results of experiments, we show that the handoff delay of the proposed method is negligible.
