: Situation awareness for ground combat vehicles is being actively developed by the U.S. Army to enable soldiers and commanders to have a better understanding of their environments and hence allow them to fight smarter. The control of hit avoidance assets (sensors and countermeasures) by the Commanders Decision Aid (CDA) can also benefit from situation awareness data, either from offboard reports or onboard systems that support situation awareness. Such data can be used in an automated way to enhance threat typing as well as countermeasure selection, timing and control. Managing the hit avoidance data, by the CDA, can provide additional information to support onboard C4I useful to the maneuver force. This paper addresses the specific ways that the CDA
