Chi-Yin Chow received the BA degree in 2002 and the MPhil degree in 2005 from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received the MSc degree in 2008 and the PhD degree in 2010 from the University of Minnesota. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong. His research interests are in databases, wireless sensor networks, mobile computing, location-based services, and location privacy. He was an intern at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center during the summer of 2008. He is a member of the ACM and the IEEE.
