I am a Senior Lecturer (or Assistant Professor) in Computer Science in the School of Science and Technology at University of New England, Armidale, Australia. I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from Cornell University and University of Arizona, USA, respectively. I had more than 10 years of professional experiences in various positions in IT in Hong Kong before returning to PhD study on a scholarship from the Japanese government. My PhD degree was awarded by University of Tsukuba, Japan, in Advanced Engineering Systems. My research areas are Image Processing and Analysis, Biometric Authentication, Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning, and Data Mining. I am a Senior Member of ACM, a member of IEEE, Australian Computer Society, and a Technical Committee Member of the Biomerics Institute.
