Execution and composition of e-science applications using the WS-resource construct
Service Oriented Architectures are emerging as the recommended paradigm for developing dispersed escience environments. In this paper we analyze the characteristics and requirements of a common class of scientific applications, namely Computational Simulation Models, and define a generic service-oriented framework for their execution and composition. Finally we present the work done so far towards the implementation of such framework based on the WSRF set of specifications and the Globus Toolkit.
