Minimum-Energy Data Dissemination in Coordination-Based Sensor Networks

Recent years, many efficient data dissemination protocols for mobile sinks in large scale sensor networks are currently under developed by researchers. In this paper we propose CODE, a COordination-based data Dissemination protocol for wireless sEnsor networks. CODE relies on grid structure and GAF protocol to achieve better energy consumption by establishing an efficient data dissemination path and turning off unnecessary nodes. Our simulation results show that CODE achieves more energy efficient and longer networks life time compared with other approaches while still handling efficient data delivery to mobile sinks 1
