Analyzing Web Interfaces of Databases for Retrieving Web Information

Abstract. Much of the information on the web is indeed dynamic content provided through linkups with databases. However, due to heterogeneity of databases, it is difficult to provide an integrated information retrieval. Meanwhile, information on web databases can be easily provided to users through web interfaces. In analyzing web interfaces, therefore, an information integration system can integrate web databases without concerning the database structures. This paper presents a solution to semantic heterogeneity through the analysis of web interfaces and the building of semantic networks.
