This work describes a perceptual user interface based on the Mean Shift algorithm to control mouse events by gestures using a generic usb camera. To demonstrate the usefulness of our work, we present two preliminaries experiments that are controlled by the mouth. The first experiment corresponds to a specific application in charge of controlling a game called pitfall. The second one is a generic experiment that evaluates the precision and robustness of the interface. These preliminaries results show that potentiality and applicability of our study to disable people.
