Delay and Jitter Minimization in High Performance Internet Computing
Delay and jitter management in high performance active computation is a challenging problem in the emerging area of internet computing. The problem takes a complex new form from its classical counterpart. Here processing time becomes a major part of transit delay dynamics. Also the concept of path ‘bandwidth’ a classical notion used extensively in classical networking, now degenerates as data volume can change while in transit. The paper presents a dynamic feedback based scheme for this problem with a live internet computing based video transcoder experiment.
