Haskell before Haskell: Curry's Contribution to Programming (1946-1950)
This paper discusses Curry’s work on how to implement the problem of inverse interpolation on the ENIAC (1946) and his subsequent work on developing a theory of program composition (1948-1950). It is shown that Curry anticipated automatic programming and that his logical work influenced his composition of programs. Key words: ENIAC, Haskell B. Curry, combinators, program composition, history of programming
