Real-time prioritized call admission control in a base station scheduler
With the deployment of packetized wireless networks, the need for Quality of Service is becoming increasingly important. In order for QoS to be implemented and e ciently supported, a number of key areas in wired wireless integration need to be addressed. One key issue is the call admission policy for the base station scheduler. In this paper we provide a call admission control policy that is designed to make e cient use of the limited wireless channel. This scheme takes advantage of the diverse tra c characteristics in order to admit ows based on the requested tra c parameters. Simulation results are included to verify the validity of our approach and its importance in future wireless communication.
