A New Image Similarity Measure Based on Ordinal Correlation

We propose an ordinal-basedmeasure of image similarity. Thismeasureisbased on a recentlydevelopedgeneralframework for image correspondence and incorporates regionbased spatial information. The measure is capable of taking into account differencesbetween images at various scales. Severalexamplesarepresentedandthe measure is evaluated on a set of test images.
