Integrating Content Assist into Textual Modelling Editors

: Intelligent, context sensitive content assist (also known as code completion) plays an important role in the effectiveness of model editors. This is not only true for textual language notations, but also for graphical notations that often contain a significant amount of textual elements. This paper present techniques to describe content assists for meta-model based textual model editors. We show that these techniques help to automate the development of editors with content assist, a process that requires extensive manual work otherwise.
