Load Distribution Patterns for Loosely-coupled Multicomputer Systems
Load distribution is one of the main design issues that arise with respect to efficient resource management in distributed systems. Various load distribution techniques have been designed and applied in practice in many real-world systems. The goal of this paper is to present the known techniques in a pattern form. We describe six load distribution patterns for loosely-coupled multicomputer systems and relate them to each other.
