Looking for Help? Supporting Older Adults' Use of Computer Systems
: Research with older adults indicates that despite considerable demand for help and support, the existing facilities built into computers are rarely used. Using evidence from our work with older adults, we argue that this is because they are often hard to find, hard to use and inappropriate. Reconsidering the ways in which support is presented to an increasingly diverse population of computer users would benefit not only older users, but everyone.
