A high capacity multihop packet CDMA wireless network

: An adhoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes dynamically forming a temporary network without the use of any existing network infrastructure or centralized administration. Due to the limited transmission range of wireless network interfaces, multiple networks "hops" may be needed for one node to exchange data with another across the network. The achievable capacity in theses networks is low and also these networks inherit the traditional problems of wireless and mobile communication, such as bandwidth optimization, power control, topology control, energy constrained operation. In this paper we show that wireless multihop networks overlaid with cellular structure have the potential to support high data rate Internet traffic.
