We present a rotation-invariant multi-scale morphological method for texture analysis, which compared with existing methods has three advantages: (i) it can be implemented efficiently, (ii) it is rotation-invariant, and (iii) it can be used for the computation of size and shape attributes, which we use for the computation of 2-D size-shape pattern spectra.
