The World Wide Web Instructional Committee (WWWIC) at North Dakota State University (NDSU) is in the process of developing interactive and immersive worlds for educational purposes. WWWIC's major projects include the Virtual Cell for cell biology education, the Geology Explorer for geology education, and the Digital Archive Network for Anthropology for archaeology and anthropology education. This paper will highlight recent experimentation results, the major components of each of these projects, and recent developments that have occurred to create more visually stimulating and educationally challenging worlds for educating students in the sciences.
