In his book "Consciousness Explained"[2], Daniel Dennett explores some of what he perceives are the weaknesses in current models of cognition, and tries to provide an alternative (the Multiple Drafts model). In the book he also describes some experiments, the results of which it is hard for current models to explain. The root of some of the problems of the current models lies in their inability to account for temporal ordering and separation of data within working memory. We outline a model which attempts to take these factors into account. The model presented draws heavily on Dennett's Multiple Drafts model, and explores details of how such a model could be implemented.
