— In this paper, two different feedback configurations of the relay channel are investigated. Specifically, in our first configuration, the source node in a relay channel is replaced with a full duplex node (physically the same as the relay node), which enables the source node to collect feedback from the channel; in the second configuration, the destination node is replaced with a full duplex node, which enables the destination node to send certain feedback via the channel. For either of the configurations, coding schemes based on the ideas of decode-and-forward and compress-and-forward are developed to exploit the corresponding feedback to help the transmission from the source node to the destination node.
