A study of over 2000 students and professionals who used the Inspire e-negotiation system led Vetschera, Kersten and Koeszegi [1] to the formulation of an assessment model for internet-based systems (AMIS). The model was used to determine factors leading to a high user acceptance of the technology exemplified by Inspire. This paper presents a follow up study that uses structured equation modeling to verify AMIS and its empirical results. The focus is on the examination of the users’ assessment of the system and their intention to use it, while taking into consideration its key features. In addition, the impact of gender is tested on the model to relate important differences in perceptions.
