— Distributed channel access is essential for a wireless network without a central controller. In our previous research, we have proposed a distributed channel access scheme to achieve guaranteed priority and enhanced fairness performance. To better understand the properties of the scheme, and also for the sake of the network design, it is important to investigate the time domain statistics of the scheme. In this paper, we derive the distributions of node service time and system service time, respectively, for the distributed channel access scheme in the saturated case. Simulation results verify the accuracy of our analysis. Keywords – Performance evaluation, distributed channel access, service time.
