— As a transport layer mobility solution, the TCP Migrate allows mobile nodes to remain reachable and retain existing connections while changing their point of attachment to the Internet. However, our study shows that the referenced TCP Migrate has to face a challenge of simultaneous movement which is specific for the end-to-end mobility solution. In this paper we extend the transport layer mobility work by resolving issues that the existing approaches lack off and propose a novel improved TCP Migrate scheme with DNS handover assistant for handover redirection and transmission resuming. The handover performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by simulation.
