An Adaptive Algorithm for Edge Detection with Subpixel Accuracy in Noisy Images
There is a tradeoff between noise insensitivity and accurate position in edge detection. This paper suggests an adaptivealgorithm which takes advantage of both LOG and NonLL filters. Several masks of different size cover a wide band of frequencies under the supervision of the nonlinear Laplace filter. Calculation is dramatically reduced by thresholding. Zero-crossings are tested simultaneously with convolutionand interpolated with subpixelaccuracy.
