We present an agentbased model that employs different social theories and their combination to explain and predict social changes. The model is set in the context of an armed insurgency in a developing country. The model can be used to evaluate which theories work best in explaining and predicting events. We demonstrate the capabilities of the model with two news reportbased scenarios. In one, we show how three theories of followership may be compared, and in the other we show how theories may be productively combined.
