ENIAM: A More Complete Conceptual Schema Language
The problem of knowledge representation has been extensively addressedin the information systemsfield and there has been a wide range of suggestionsfor capturing semantics.A number of systemsand methodologieshave been proposed. Most seem to suffer from a variety of problems which makerepresentationdifficult, e.g. mixing of type and instances, too many and complex structures. Representationlanguageswhich permit a graphical form are becoming more widely acceptedunder the motivation of being ableto seethedatastructureswhich exist. However the semanticsare somewhatlimited with, for example, few integrity constraints being represented. In this paper we show how a conceptualschemalanguagewith a graphical form canbe extendedto permit a wider classof semantics to be represented.
