Kai-Yuan Jheng received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from National Central University, Taiwan, in 2001 and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 2009.
He is currently with KeyStone Semiconductor Corp., Taiwan, where he is involved in the digital baseband design of digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB). In 2008, he was with the SoC Technology Center, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Taiwan, where he was involved in the digital baseband design of digital video broadcasting (DVB). In 2009-2010, he was with National Taiwan University, Taiwan, where he was involved in the bio-inspired and thermal-aware networks-on-chip (NoC) designs of three-dimensional integrated circuit (3D IC). His research interests include algorithm development, VLSI architecture design and implementation for digital signal processing and communication systems.
Dr. Jheng is a member of the IEEE. He received the Best Paper Award at the 2010 VLSI-DAT. He has published more than 10 international journal and conference papers and holds 2 U.S. patents. He is a reviewer for several IEEE journals and conferences. In particular, the TCAS-I, TCAS-II, TVLSI, TSP, and JSTSP.
