Zhenzhen Ye received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2009. He received his B.E. degree from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2000, the M.S. degree in high performance computation from Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA) program, National University of Singapore, Singapore, in 2003, and his M.S. degree in electrical engineering from University of California, Riverside, CA in 2005.
Dr. Ye is currently with the R&D Division at iBasis, Inc., working on routing and pricing strategies for VOIP services. From 2002 to 2003, he was a co-op at Communication and Devices Division, Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore. In 2005, 2007 and 2008, he held summer appointments at Network Advanced Technologies Group, Motorola Inc., Arlington Heights, IL, Digital Communications Group, Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs (MERL), Cambridge, MA, and Wireless Networking Business Unit, Cisco Systems Inc., San Jose, CA, respectively.
Dr. Ye has authored and co-authored more than 20 publications in leading journals and conferences the areas of wireless communication systems and networks. He was a runner-up for the Best Paper Award of ACM International Conference on Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Wireless and Mobile Systems (MSWiM) in 2008. Dr. Ye has served as a Research/Industrial Chair of the Third International Conference on Pervasive Patterns and Applications (PATTERNS) in 2011, Advisory Chair of PATTERNS in 2010 and a Technical Program Committee member of numerous international conferences. He is a member of IEEE.
