Abstract. This paper presents the results and analysis of the Fishmarket tournament held this spring at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) by a group of undergraduate students as a course work for an arti cial intelligence applications course. In the tournament participated sixteen di erent agents that competed in a three phase eliminatory competition. The agents were divided in groups of four and competed in a number of Downward Bidding Protocol (DBP) auctions for boxes of sh. We present the information analyzed by the students in order to build their agents, what information was considered relevant, and the di erent strategies of the agents.
