Pedagogical Support at the E-Learning Courseware: An Intelligent Software Agent

The management of the relationship between student and learning environment during an e-learning process is a fundamental item both from the pedagogical and technical point of view. Our contribution consists in defining, inside a flexible e-learning platform, innovative tools of interaction to fulfil the needs for communication and cooperation during e-learning processes. Using the pedagogical support of an "Animate Agent" able to interact through efficacious expressive modalities with the students, a Virtual Tutor has been defined which guides them during the training.
