Currently, most of the web is inaccessible to mobile users. Few pages are designed with anything other than the Desktop PC in mind. The growing number of mobile devices with different characteristics, limitations, and capabilities makes it difficult for web designers to accommodate all of them. We describe a novel architecture for integrating and transforming available web content into formats suitable for handheld, mobile devices. This architecture has been implemented and tested to prove the applicability of our approach in everyday scenarios. KEYWORDS Mobility, Adaptive Web Systems, Ubiquitous Computing.
