This paper is a report of some of the findings in a study of how and what women in computer science learn using the Internet for communication with other women. The focus of this paper is on the content and characteristics of the learning. The study uncovered a model of this learning and this model is described here. The research methods and data are described in another paper. The research question to be answered is, "What is the nature of the learning that occurs in all-women listservs for women in computer science?"
