A distributed blackboard architecture for interactive data visualization

In this paper we present a distributed blackboard architecture for scientific visualzation. We discuss our motivation,design and applicationof the architecture. The main advantages of the architecure is twofold. First, it allows visualization tools to be tightly intergrated with simulations. Second, it allows qualitative and quantitative analysis to be combined during the visualization process.
