An Ontology as Domain Model in a Web-Based Educational System for Prolog

In the first section wegive a very short surveyon current researchon web-basededucationalsystemsand relatedproblems.Inthesecondsectionwearguethat knowledgerepresentationandontologiesmayoffersolutionstobasicproblemsinthisarea.Sincea wellfoundedsystemofconcepts,i.e.anontology,willsignificantlyadvanceknowledgesharingandinteroperability.Thiswillenableboththedesignofreusable functionalcomponentsandthedesignofauthoring tools.Inthethirdpartweintroduceanddiscussour approachoforganisingsystemknowledgeinanontology.Finally,weproposeanapproachhowontologies and KNOWLEDGE SPACE maybe combinedforimprovingbothusermodelingandintelligentproblemsolving support.
